NATIONAL TREE PLANTING DAY
Today our Parish Priests, Sisters, Workers and also the group of Junior Catechists of Ng’arua Deanery have joint the National celebration planting trees at the Parish Farm. Chief Njuguna and Chief Ndungu honored this occasion.
The activity was accompanied by a prayer of blessing as well as a special prayer for the victim of recent floods.
Moreover, in the last two weeks of rainy season, the Parish has added up to 2,000 trees at the farm, at the school, and in the agroforestry lands.
Some of these trees were cultivated in our nursery. Trees for Forestation: acacia, grevillea, olive, neem, moringa, jacaranda, pawlonia, eucaliptus, croton, sandal, red cedar, jatropha, fig, kei apple, bottle brush, together with castor, and other autoctonous trees.
But also Fruit Trees: apple, orange, papaya, passion, mangos, avocado, mulberry, white supporter, cashew, jack fruit, tomato (matunda damu), dragon, fig, pomegranade.
